An experienced accounting officer is now being sought for. The incumbent of this position is responsible for providing customers with financial services that are of high quality and value while abiding by Association policies and regulations as well as those of the Company Administration, Internal Revenue Service, state and local taxing authorities, and the Internal Revenue Service. Depending on expertise, the incumbent is able to provide high-value services to consumers who are filing records and income tax returns with a high degree of quality and efficiency. Accounting officers provide record keeping, payroll processing, tax planning and preparation, and advisory accounting services.

Qualifications:

• Work together to communicate transparent and understandable financial procedures and data to external stakeholders including the Foundation Board of Directors, independent auditors, and the college community.
• By investigating and interpreting accounting policy and regulations, responds to inquiries about accounting method, and complies with local financial legal and tax obligations.
• Creating and maintaining yearly agency spending plans to ensure that resources are used in the most appropriate and effective manner possible. Assist agency employees with the drafting of the biennial budget.
• Account for prepaid and recoverable costs, as well as the depreciation schedules for fixed assets, and monitor and reconcile such data on an ongoing basis.
• Daily accounting responsibilities such as processing payables, keeping track of the general ledger, and publishing journal entries are all part of the job.
• Examining employee expense reports to ensure that there is sufficient support and permission and that charges adhere to bank policy Process and enter employee expense reports into the accounts payable system together with invoices.
• Review of farm financial records and payroll, including in-depth knowledge of agricultural accounting software and other accounting software used in the local market. You must be able to build relationships and start new businesses.
• Help with the creation of financial reports for both internal and external usage, including the balance sheet, the profit and loss statement, and other reports. Review the reconciliations of the bank, suppliers, customers, and other debtors and creditors on a regular basis.
• Making sure that each day’s accounting transactions in USD and other foreign currencies are properly recorded and checked for accuracy. After reviewing the suspense exercise, prepare and correct the journals as needed.
• Work with the Office of Institutional Advancement to build and maintain effective working relationships.

Skills:

• Effective budgeting and financial record-keeping requires a thorough comprehension of basic financial concepts and practices.
• General auditing methods, such as the application of GAAP, and the ability to grasp departmental and state rules pertaining to financial transactions are essential.
• Integration and coordination of many parts, as well as their application to particular topics, are all factors that go into determining the degree of judgment. A considerable degree of judgment is used within the constraints of the task at hand.
• Experience with advanced financial accounting software, including producing entries, interpreting financial reports, and managing financial databases.
• Ability to collaborate in a group setting and with others to solve problems.
