Qualifications:

• Schedule a regular time for the driver to leave the warehouse, along with a manifest that lists the driver’s name and the places where deliveries and pick-ups are to be made.
• As soon as you finish unloading your goods, check the seal number with a store representative to make sure it is correct.
• Organizes and reports on Before and after a trip, inspections are performed to document and communicate any flaws or deficiencies to supervisors.
• The majority of a truck driver’s day is spent driving; the remainder is spent on other operations such as delivery, handling, shipping orders/paperwork, customer interaction, and vehicle AM and PM inspections.
• Handheld computers are used to do all of the paperwork that is needed for clients, as well as for things like Hazmat preparation, vehicle inspection reports, load reports, and trip reports. Truck drivers follow a Route and Sequence delivery plan that was made by a computer.
• Ability to contribute to a team approach by being dynamic, flexible, and pleasant in your dealings with coworkers and customers – multitasking skills
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather.
• While delivering items to consumers, the truck driver maintains a high degree of customer service.
• Candidate safety is first, so they make sure to dress appropriately, including wearing a helmet and gloves.
• We’ll be loading and unloading things by hand and with heavy equipment throughout the day, so you’ll need to be able to lift 75 pounds or more on a frequent basis.

Skills:

• A valid BC driver’s license is required, as well as knowledge of DOT requirements.
• A valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) and the ability to operate transportation equipment safely are required (such as tractor-trailer combinations).
• The capacity to pass any background checks and/or drug tests that may be required under the contract.
• Two years of driving experience is necessary, or completion of a truck driver training school’s course.
• You must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently to understand, give, and receive guidance.
