The Budget Analyst is responsible for a wide variety of duties that assure the operational performance and quality of the business unit, including budgeting and financial reporting. Analyzing the budget will help the Budget Analyst to aid in process design as well as forecasting and making suggestions that will improve efficiency. By using Hyperion and PeopleSoft, the Budget Analyst will aid in the analysis of budget to actual expenditure variations while also keeping track of and evaluating productivity and workload trends. With the help of the Budget Director, the Budget Analyst will support the Budget Department and the facility with important initiatives. There will be a functional expert on the PeopleSoft/Hyperion applications assigned to the Budget Analyst

Qualifications:

• Additionally, financial and operational monitoring, as well as a performance evaluation system, are given. Responsibilities include identifying and evaluating financial tendencies by regularly reviewing operating budgets.
• Perpetual evaluations of different departmental tasks and data are held with the necessary staff members.
• Plans daily tasks to optimize personal production within the constraints of business policy, the job description, and supervisory instructions.
• Cleanliness and organization in one’s immediate work area safeguards the safety of the individual and their coworkers. I will report my supervisor and human resources if there are any dangerous conditions or actions. A timely response will be taken to any potentially dangerous situations.
• Budget analysts are responsible for financial planning, budget formulation, budget execution, budget monitoring, managerial cost accounting, financial analysis, financial management systems, financial risk analysis, and other financial reporting and management controls.
• Prepares a variety of spreadsheets for monthly and inter-facility charge-backs, as well as inter-departmental reclassifications, and maintains a monthly record of consignment cash receipts. Assists in the creation of reports for quarterly, yearly, and monthly departmental budget meetings.
• ARF (Application Request Form) data is processed and maintained by the PeopleSoft accounting software (Hyperion).

They’re also in charge of coming up with solutions and making decisions. It’s also up to them to make sure their work is well-ordered.

• Utilizing the analyst’s current market knowledge, contributes to the collection and analysis of financial information for all offices, as well as to competitive benchmarking within the law firm industry.

Skills:

• The applicant must be skilled in MS Excel and MS Access, as well as able to communicate both verbally and in writing to all levels of management in the company.
• Financial and accounting models, as well as cash flow analysis and planning for organizations of all kinds, are my specialty.
• Working with computer keyboards requires long hours of sitting and standing, as well as good vision, dexterity, and finger dexterity.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, maintain a productive and devoted work effort, fulfill deadlines and manage workload.
• Bachelor’s degree with one or more year(s) experience in Budget Administration, Accounting, or Budget forecasting, modeling, and understanding of government, grants, and fund accounting.
