As a biomedical engineer, you’ll be responsible for checking and maintaining a wide variety of medical equipment. This role requires strong mechanical and electromechanical talents, as well as the ability to troubleshoot both electronically and mechanically. Qualifications:

• For biomedical equipment to be deemed safe to use, it must meet a set of regulations and quality control requirements. Employ the services of other engineers and specialists to carry out your experimental ideas.
• Work with others to organize and implement a variety of special projects, such as purchasing new equipment, developing bid requirements, evaluating vendor offers, installing equipment, doing acceptance testing, and disposing of obsolete or unneeded items.

• System requirements must be taken into consideration while designing and implementing new research tools. Calibrate medical and biological equipment and execute numerous activities connected to its functioning.
• Work with teams from different fields to help make the next generation of biosensors, with a focus on glucose sensing. Help make new sensing methods, membrane stacks, and processes a reality.

Skills:

• Required education and credentials include a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or a related science, or a graduate level degree in biomedical engineering or a related science. Licensure and certification are also necessities.
• Medical technology and/or research instruments may be safely and effectively used if an ongoing education program can be developed to address these issues.
• Ability to serve as a biomedical engineering subject matter expert, supporting clinical technology with service, system administration, training, quality assurance, and life-cycle management.
• Job demands critical thinking, decisive judgment, and minimum supervision. Must work quickly and appropriately.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including professional and technical employees at all levels of the firm.
