The Banker’s job is to make the customer’s time with the bank enjoyable and memorable. You can keep up with client accounts and reliably add value by deciding which options are most suitable for them. Long-term client connections and proactive prospecting are necessities in this position. Customer service, account maintenance, and the handling of financial transactions are just some of the duties you’ll have as a bank employee. Quick responses to customer questions and concerns are essential, as is the ability to upsell and cross-sell related bank products and services.

Qualifications:

• If you ask the right questions and pay attention to what they say, you may learn more about the customer’s needs.
• Get cash out of the vault and put it back into circulation as needed to keep teller drawer balances stable.
• Maintains the safety of the bank’s assets by regular balancing at the end of each workday and the timely production of relevant reports detailing the day’s operations in relation to cash and negotiable instruments.
• Your clients have the option of conducting business with you via a variety of channels, including walk-in, drive-through, night deposit, mail, and electronic means.
• Bank deposits and cash recovery; opening and closing the office and vault; preparing reports; and any other duties assigned by the branch or department to guarantee the efficient operation of the office.
• Referring the client to the most qualified individuals to meet their needs or advising the client on the best way to improve their financial situation are examples of this service.
• Verify the endorsement, identification, and legitimacy of the check before cashing it.
• Make sure all policies and procedures are followed by keeping a firm handle on the inner workings of the branch.
• The Bank can benefit from your direct sales of consumer banking products and services to customers.
• You need to keep up a polished image and a neat workspace if you plan on meeting with clients on a regular basis.

Skills:

• The most essential traits of the ideal candidate for this role are a positive, professional manner, the ability to multitask, and a track record of success in customer service, speed, accuracy, detail, flexibility, and judgement.
• Either a bachelor’s degree or a year and a half to two years of relevant work experience in customer service and sales is required; banking industry experience is preferred.
• Recognize the duties that are specifically related to retail departments (deposit operations, client care, records management, etc.)
• You should be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and work with decimals.
• We’ll go over using the ATM, calculator, keyboard, encoder, camera/scanner, SEI Trust System, Streamline, and Vertex.
