Our busy dealership needs an Automotive Technician. Car experience helps. Detail and client service are essential. The Automotive Technician repairs and maintains vehicles according to dealer and manufacturing specifications. The Automotive Technician should be able to complete all allocated duties without direct or constant supervision.

Qualifications:

• Perform diagnostics on, as well as maintenance and repairs on, various automotive systems, such as a vehicle’s engine, gearbox, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Ensure that all of the equipment in the service area is operated in a secure manner. As soon as the project is over, you should record every piece of work that was completed. Abilities in mathematics at its most fundamental level are required.
• Determine if the vehicle need further safety or preventative maintenance. Create a finished product that adheres to manufacturer and dealer specifications while executing warranty repairs.
• The dispatcher will give you instructions on where to take your car for repairs. Interaction with the spares department in order to get necessary components.
• Understands and adheres to federal, state, and local rules such as hazardous waste disposal. Committed to continual education.
• while inspecting the car for additional issues that may need attention Safety regulations and procedures must be followed, and any accidents must be reported to a manager or supervisor at the earliest opportunity.
• Inspect the vehicle completely, notifying the Service Advisor of any repairs or preventative maintenance, and conduct any maintenance services as directed by the manufacturer.
• Maintain and repair vehicles according to dealership requirements. Service advisors and consumers need non-technical diagnosis and fixes.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor to alert consumers of additional service needs. Provide a repair timeline.
• Perform maintenance and repair work to satisfy customers. Diagnose and fix malfunctions quickly.

Skills:

• Applicants must have finished high school or something similar, and ASE certification is a plus. Service technicians need to be good with their hands and have at least two years of experience.
• Interpersonal and communication abilities All makes and models, including big automobiles with big parts, are serviced. Teamwork and independence Driving history is crucial.
• Basic maintenance, electrical, and drivability repair abilities are also essential, as is the ability to work effectively with service staff and management.
• Basic computing knowledge Pre-employment screening must be completed. Must have a valid driver’s license Team player, willing to adapt, and committed to providing excellent service to clients
• Previous experience working as an Automotive Technician, as a mechanic, or in other disciplines connected to the automotive industry, In-depth familiarity with diagnostic and repair tools, Superior mechanical ability as well as problem-solving abilities
