Planning, scripting, interviewing, lighting, recording audio, editing, producing, and directing are among the responsibilities. Additionally, prospective candidates for this position must be comfortable working with just audio forms, such as writing compelling content descriptions, publishing podcasts, and generating podcast audio.

Qualifications:

• Make sure the film promotes the university’s image and aligns with our brand’s mission.
• As required, operate cameras, microphones, teleprompters, and other video equipment.
• Put your videos up on platforms like Vimeo and YouTube. Monitoring viewership data and habits can help you expand your influence and effectiveness.
• Create a finished project by conceptualizing, organizing, scheduling, recording, and editing audio and video within the given time frame.
• Make sure that any audio or video you use is also copyright-compliant. Collaborate with outside parties to secure required permissions.
• Always be aware of the most recent innovations and industry trends in video software and hardware.
• Put on the director hat and oversee the production as a whole, from the cameras to the lights to the sound.
• contribute to our social media marketing strategy by creating and submitting fresh video content and other resources on a regular basis for use on our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages.
• Make a final output that can pass our stringent tests for sound and picture quality.
• It may occasionally be necessary for applicants with photographic experience to employ that skill for projects.

Skills:

• An advantage would be to have previous experience managing media, editing video and audio files, capturing and importing media, and organizing raw material.
• Professional editing skills with Adobe Premiere and graphic design skills with After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• proficiency with multiple camera types and settings, such as the Sony FS7, A7S, and remote filming (through zoom, skype, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in video production; portfolio demonstrating completion of multiple projects of a high standard.
• familiarity with and experience using video editing software (we use Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro at the moment);
