The Music Producer is responsible for the daily technical operation of the event, and for the implementation of strategy in a professional and competent manner.

Qualifications:

• In order to realize desired vision and success, the music producer position is a highly collaborative function that involves working with both small and large groups.
• Building relationships with managers, publicists, and record companies can be accomplished by getting together with these professionals in person and participating in events that they arrange.
• Establish and monitor project budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure that spending stays within set limits.
• Producing/creative oversight of acts as needed.
• Furthermore, this person must always stick to established standards, be able to offer ideas and designs, and be able to communicate well.
• Collaborate with the musicians, the line producer, and the supervising producer on a budget.
• Management of the music team assists in carrying out all musical performances.
• Consistently expected to contribute to opportunity evaluations and the design and implementation of new audio systems.
• Set up and conduct all licensing and synchronization rights negotiations with record labels, music publishers, and other parties as necessary.
• Take audio from TV broadcasts, events, concerts, and interviews for the show, as well as sound bites, etc.

Skills:

• Ability and willingness to contribute to non-musical bookings, such as but not limited to, athletes, newsmakers, and celebrities, as well as to communicate and work with other teams on the show.
• 8+ years of relevant music industry experience – booking/producing at a variety event (late night, midday, morning, or similar) or music label experience a plus
• ability to suggest truly novel approaches to music production for radio and the web.
• qualifications in management, coaching experience, and the ability to inspire teamwork.
• the ability to prioritize and manage multiple objectives simultaneously under pressure.
