A Quality Control Manager’s duties include managing workers, establishing and upholding quality control procedures, analyzing test results, and providing direction to the production crew based on those findings. Material, product, and/or process conformance to standards must be ensured and checked for. Make sure everyone is following the plan and using high-quality manufacturing methods and standards.

Qualifications:

• It is imperative to keep thorough records to back up testing procedures, such as data collection sheets, logbooks for equipment, and inventory lists.
• Maintains a steady stream of field and lab samples. Checking the results of physical testing on materials and procedures, including sight, touch, and measure.
• Supervises the gathering and testing of manufacturing samples for quality assurance purposes.
• Evaluate test outcomes in light of predetermined criteria and give suggestions on whether or not the information is ready for public consumption based on your findings.
• Product dimensions and surface quality should be measured and inspected on a sampling basis to ensure conformity with all established quality standards.
• Perform the quality inspection process on new part samples and record the results.
• Examine anything from raw materials to finished goods to environmental samples to stability samples and anything in between.
• Make sure all procedures adhere to the needed client specifications and established quality standards.
• Interpret blueprints for the purpose of establishing customers’ critical needs and how they should be measured.
• Inspect all product returns, analyze the defect, and document the findings.

Skills:

• An undergraduate degree is required, preferably in Engineering, Business, Operations, or Quality.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced setting with multiple tasks at once.
• Share information with the quality assurance, technical, and other departments in an efficient manner.
• Requires a minimum of three years of experience as a manager, preferably in the fields of quality assurance or engineering.
• Extremely keen attention to detail, as well as the capacity for initiative and swift adjustment to changing demands.
