Our organization is now looking for a Payroll Manager. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for all aspects of payroll and invoicing. Create policies, methods, and financial strategies for internal control under the direction of the Controller. This is a high-pressure role that requires strong skills in time management, communication, and problem solving.

  • Bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly information is sent to the controller and HR. Escalated field enquiries are handled, and problems are quickly fixed.
  • Work cross-functionally with the HR department on new hiring, terminations, and leaves of absence.
  • Creates internal controls to guarantee the accuracy and effectiveness of all payroll operations, as well as legal compliance. Shares business leadership and field offices with regard to protocols.
  • To ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll, in addition to checking off-cycle payroll, making sure checks are processed quickly, and working with the payroll supervisor.
  • Recommends to the transaction initiator that the accounting treatment is correct.
  • One computes, examines, and corrects wage errors to ensure the accuracy of earnings. A payroll change should always be done appropriately.
  • Ensures that all payroll updates, including terminations, new hires, and pay rate adjustments, are completed properly and quickly.
  • Organize data and reports for internal and external audits, and make sure the company complies with any additional local, state, and federal regulations regarding tax filings and reporting.
  • A payroll manager is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions such as wages and benefits, as well as tax and other withholdings.
  • The Payroll Manager executes a combination of general accounting and payroll responsibilities, including normal and non-recurring general accounting responsibilities and payroll processing, bonus payouts, and commission or incentive programs.


  • Knowledge of how to maintain a positive and cooperative working environment and how to execute a pleasant customer service approach to all internal employee problems is required.
  • Must be familiar with federal government accounting procedures and standards.
  • An in-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal accounting and bookkeeping rules and regulations. A high capacity to identify and implement improvements in the processes.
  • Capable of mentoring and leading a department and collaborating well with the company’s senior leaders and management team.
  • For this role, a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related subject is required; the ideal candidate will have five to 10 years of payroll or billing experience.
