Qualifications:

• Make a value determination based on appraisals using accepted methods in the field.
• Offer exceptional service to both internal and external customers in a way that caters to their individual requirements and inspires loyalty.
• Investigate the papers pertaining to the property, such as the sales agreement, insurance policy, and flood certification.
• Managing the Bank’s Appraisal Website, including communicating with Appraisers regarding Site changes, Corrections, and Additional Information.
• Help prevent, investigate, and resolve mortgage fraud by maintaining a firm grasp on the regulations that apply to loan products and the industry as a whole.
• Examine credit, income, and assets on a loan-by-loan basis to accurately assess each borrower’s risk, and swiftly inform mortgage originators of your underwriting conclusions.
• Examine loan applications in accordance with investor and agency standards, including but not limited to portfolio goods.
• Display the capacity to independently come to wise choices about the applicants’ creditworthiness based on accepted underwriting standards, Bank policies, practices, expertise, and experience.
• Work with other teams to update regulations and/or the secondary market, analyze revenue, value assets, and review condominiums. You can also train and coach other teams in these areas.
• oversees the maintenance of the portfolio’s product documentation. Make changes to the portfolio product documentation as needed.

Skills:

• Qualifications including a degree and one to three years of relevant work experience in mortgage underwriting are preferred.
• Communication proficiency
• A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school equivalent to approximately 64 credit hours.
• The ability to work successfully with others in an upbeat, respectful environment devoid of behavioral extremes is a requirement for any position.
• basic computer knowledge with an aptitude for learning new applications.
