Job Description

Working closely with the general manager, the assistant general manager’s main responsibility is to study and become an expert in all facets of warehouse operations in order to serve the fulfillment center. Assistance with personnel, production scheduling, inventory control, warehouse maintenance, safety, everyday operations, etc., may be required. This position is essential to upholding the company culture, leading the team, and effectively managing client fulfillment for both new and ongoing customers.

Qualifications:

  • Checks the daily guest service log for requests, complaints, and notable occurrences.
  • In charge of the site’s supply chain and fulfillment metrics, In charge of overall performance management and tying individual and team performance to supply chain and fulfillment objectives.
  • Routinely inspects the hotel’s public spaces on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, identifying and fixing any possible safety dangers and resolving sanitary problems.
  • Some of the tasks of this role include managing team leaders in order to delegate decision-making to front-line employees and to inspire improvements in the creative process.
  • Makes use of one’s own discretion and one’s own judgment in order to handle questions and difficulties raised by customers and associates, and chooses when more complicated concerns should be sent to higher level management.
  • Hire, fire, promote, or otherwise alter the position of coworkers in the department by conducting interviews and making recruiting and firing decisions.
  • Ensures that the company’s health and safety policies and standards are followed, raises awareness about wellness and safety, and communicates any safety problems to the general manager
  • Assists the GM/F&B Multi Unit Manager I in managing by overseeing employees in a designated restaurant or point-of-sale.
  • Analyzes financial and operational data and reports to keep track of progress toward unit objectives and assigns coworkers to meet those aims.
  • Develop and build a connection with the property owners by interacting proactively and become the subject matter expert on those properties, ensuring they are clean, maintained, and properly cared for.

Skills:

  • A complete comprehension of all of the applicable national, state, and local sanitary, safety, and health regulations, as well as all of the procedures and protocols required to comply with the HACCP requirements
  • Able to perform shifts throughout various operational days and hours each week; during opening, during busy day portions, and during closing to oversee restaurant employees’ job activities on these various days.
  • Windows, Power Point, Microsoft Office, and Event Management and Maintenance Management Software expertise are desirable.
  • Requires the ability to communicate, understand, and interpret directions, brief letters, and policy papers.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in customer service is necessary, with expertise in the hotel sector being preferable. A degree or certificate in hospitality management, business administration, or a subject relevant to hospitality is required.
