The Drywall Finisher’s primary responsibility, with guidance from a supervisor, is to keep the work area clean and aesthetically pleasing. Carries out routine servicing, repairs, and servicing of equipment, as well as preventative maintenance, on a wide range of building systems. Engages in all facets of building management to ensure that tenants receive efficient, cost-effective service with a priority on their satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Maintain punctuality, be present at the start of each shift, and always follow the division’s attendance policies.
• Texture compounds and primers are applied to walls and ceilings using a texture hopper, rollers, brushes, and trowels. To join wallboard and metal framing at wall corners, use metal molding.
• Participates in and maintains open lines of communication with the project manager, the customer, and the various trades and subcontractors in order to provide maintenance services that are timely, cost-effective, and of high quality.
• Our company’s physical assets are entrusted to you, and you are responsible for safeguarding them, putting in a request for repairs if necessary, and keeping your assigned area neat and tidy.
• Keeping in constant communication with your superior and reporting any problems you’re having on the work; properly and safely using all provided resources.
• Assist your Team Leader and Area Coordinator in organizing the production operations in your area by addressing anticipated material shortages, identifying critical tool maintenance, and communicating any quality or productivity difficulties.
• Repaints, replaces, and/or repairs vinyl wallpaper; paints, stains, and/or adds other finishes to interior surfaces for the purpose of improving their appearance and extending their durability (roller, brush, and spray applications). Uses hand and power tools to smooth out and repair walls, floors, and doors made of wood, metal, and other materials, and does other tasks connected to the role of Finisher.
• Work effectively within a team to produce work that satisfies quality requirements while also meeting productivity goals.
• Cracks, holes, nail heads, and screw heads can be sealed with sealing compound using trowels, wide knives, or spatulas.
• Keeping to predetermined standards of cleanliness and security. Always have your PPE (personal protective equipment) on hand (PPE).

• Understanding how to read blueprints and schematics is essential in the construction industry.
• Able to accomplish strenuous physical activities.
• You need to be a well-rounded individual with strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• The applicant should be very motivated to learn and develop his abilities, and also have a strong sense of leadership.
• Experts say that high school students who are interested in these fields should focus on acquiring skills in carpentry, shop, mechanical drawing, and basic mathematics.
