As an assistant controller, you will assist the division’s controller and assist with the division’s overall financial activities. Involve yourself in financial and operational matters by interacting with financial management and leadership. These tasks include financial estimates and reporting, practice assessments, economic strategy formulation, budgeting, and policy support and implementation.

Qualifications:

• Guiding and supporting the Controller’s leadership of the accounting and bookkeeping operations.
• Develop and present standard financial data sets with senior leadership, including a full evaluation of yearly operational budgets and forecasted results.
• Monitor the capital planning process by assisting management in calculating the return on capital improvements, obtaining support and monitoring the bid process, and ensuring sufficient property care by reviewing scope of work and specifications.
• Retain the best employees by following the right HR strategies and taking the right steps.
• Monitors how work is assigned, evaluates how well employees do their jobs, makes suggestions for how to handle employees, and tries to get people to work at their best.
• Cash flow difficulties should be managed and communicated clearly and efficiently. All monies must be deposited in a timely and correct manner, and this includes the creation of accurate and timely cash flow statements.
• Evaluate variations from the budget or previous year and present management with practical improvement ideas.
• Through managers and team members, ensures high performance, goal accomplishment, and quality of results.
• Makes sure that the month and year-end closings are done right and on time. This includes making sure that the monthly financial reports are correct.
• Drive the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting in order to meet deadlines.

Skills:

• The ideal applicant will be an inventive and proactive thinker capable of driving change and transformation.
• Two years of relevant experience and a master’s degree in the relevant field, or four years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field.
• Making sure the proper transactions are done in the correct accounts.
• Ability to operate alone and as part of a team in a high-volume, high-speed workplace that places a premium on accuracy and punctuality.
• The capacity to effectively convert operational issues into practical solutions.
