Assembler conducts activities in a production setting to meet daily schedules to assemble items using specific, defined techniques. Perform product assembly tasks in accordance with established production standards under the supervision of an Assembly Supervisor, a Senior Assembler, or an Engineer

Qualifications:

  • Using a color code, a coded label, or other identification criteria to identify and pick distinct electrical components of the proper value and size as indicated on schematic wiring diagrams. Determines which components’ terminal connections should be utilized as required.
  • This work demands the ability to recognize and identify all circuit symbols, wiring codes, and electrical components in order to create a product from scratch using just drawings and schematics as a guide.
  • Thermal compression die bonding, ultrasonic and parallel gap microwelding, and microsoldering are some of the techniques used to fabricate and assemble microminiature components.
  • Follows established procedures for cutting, punching, forming, drilling, tapping, turning, milling, and stamping to fabricate, form, or shape manufactured parts, tools, or parts assemblies from raw materials using various convention machines and/or CNC (computerized numerical control) manufacturing equipment.
  • Work involves assembling and modifying prototype electronic subsystems, subunits, assemblies, components, and wiring harnesses and cables.
  • Organizes and arranges electronic components such as radar synchronizers, computers and roll servo units in line with schematics, wiring diagrams or other requirements using pre-drilled chassis and printed circuit boards.
  • Placing brackets, gaskets, and silicone according to trainer/work instructions, and inserting screws using pneumatic equipment.
  • Establishes and runs a variety of equipment to create and assemble entire flying, developmental, and prototype microelectronic circuit assemblies under the guidance of an engineer.
  • Routes and connects wires and cables such that pieces, wires, or cables are sufficiently accessible for removal and replacement and are physically attached, soldered, or welded in accordance with defined standards.
  • Assembles units, manufactured parts/components, and/or electrical/electronic systems utilizing hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and other equipment to create subassemblies, assemblies, or full units.

Skills:

  • Relevant education and work experience are required to meet the job’s requirements, such as a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • It’s important to have hand tools like a continuity tester and a voltage test fixture. Other tools like pneumatic hand tools, pneumatic rivet guns and pneumatic staple guns must also be able to be used.
  • An array of tools may be employed to accomplish the project including: written and verbal instructions (in the English language); material lists and diagrams depicting the building process’ flow.

  • Three days of training are required for new hires before they can begin their new job (if performance level not met during the training, contractor will be released)
