The role of the assembler is to carry out production-related assembly tasks in accordance with established daily schedules and thorough standardized procedures. Under the direction of an Assembly Supervisor, Team Leader, Senior Assembler, or Engineer, assemble products to ensure production needs are met.

Qualifications:

• Determine the best order in which to assemble research electronics like radar synchronizers, computers, and roll servo units from components like pre-drilled chassis and printed wiring boards.
• Fabricates, forms, or shapes manufactured parts, tools, or parts assemblies from raw materials using various convention machines and/or CNC (computerized numerical control) manufacturing equipment, such as cutting, punching, forming, drilling, tapping, turning, milling, and stamping, in accordance with established procedures.
• Works under the supervision of an engineer to set up and run various machines to produce and assemble functional, developmental, and prototype versions of microelectronic circuits.
• Workers using pneumatic tools should take their cues from a Trainer or other knowledgeable individual.
• Create something brand new with the help of blueprints and schematics. To construct the product from scratch with only the blueprints and schematics as a guide, you need to be familiar with all circuit symbols, wiring codes, and electrical components.
• Microminiature circuits are created and put together using ultrasonic and parallel gap microwelding, as well as microsoldering, in addition to specialised resins.
• Part of this assignment entails creating prototypes of various electronic parts, modules, assemblies, components, wire harnesses, and cables.
• Locates and selects various electrical components of the correct value or size as indicated by schematic wiring diagrams (through color coding, labelling conventions, or other means of identification). Determines component terminal connections as required.
• Constructing components, assemblies, or complete units with the aid of hand tools, power tools, jigs/fixtures, and machinery like a lathe, mill, drill press, etc.
• To do this, components, cables, and wires must be routed and connected in accordance with established norms.

Skills:

• Know how to handle a variety of hand tools, such as pneumatic hand tools, a rivet machine, an electric stapler, a drill press, a heat staking machine, and wire strippers.
• Before moving on to the next phase, candidates must complete a mandatory three-day training course (if performance level not met during the training, contractor will be released)

• High school graduation or GED and related work experience are typically required to qualify for jobs in this field.
• Several methods, such as English-language verbal and written directions, lists of necessary materials, and flowcharts of the construction procedure, may be used to complete the task.
