An assembler works in a factory to put together products according to established procedures and standard operating procedures. When an Assembly Supervisor is on the job, production targets must be reached (Team Leader, Senior Assembler, or Engineer).

Qualifications:

• Puts together, tests, modifies, and repairs electronic prototypes, prototype units, prototype assemblies, prototype components, prototype harnesses, and prototype cables for usage in prototype, pre-production, and experimental settings.
• By adhering to standard operating procedures for various conventional machines and/or CNC (computerized numerical control) manufacturing equipment, these machines can be used to perform a variety of tasks, including cutting, punching, and shaping.
• Follow the guidelines of your trainer or supervisor when installing the gaskets, silicone, and brackets, and do not forget to use the pneumatic tools to drive in the screws.
• Locating and selecting the appropriate electrical components by value and size using a schematic’s color coding, labelling, or other identifiers. Uses the component’s data sheet to figure out which terminal connections are required.
• You need to be able to read schematics and drawings in order to be hired for this position, as you will be responsible for creating a product from scratch utilizing just these resources.
• Performs tasks such as assembling and testing microelectronic circuit assemblies for use in aircraft under the supervision of an engineer.
• Units, manufactured parts/components, and/or electrical/electronic systems are assembled using a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and other miscellaneous equipment.
• This task requires correctly routing and connecting all cables and wires so that they can be disconnected and reconnected without difficulty and in line with applicable standards.
• Construction of electronic components such as radar synchronizers, computers, and roll servo units is accomplished using pre-drilled chassis and printed wiring boards in accordance with schematics and other requirements. Next, the settings of these parts are modified in accordance with the diagrams.
• Microminiature circuits are created and put together using ultrasonic and parallel gap microwelding, as well as microsoldering, in addition to specialised resins.

Skills:

• Three days of training are required before candidates can begin work (if performance level not met during the training, contractor will be released)
• The ability to do fundamental actions by overcoming obstacles in tried-and-true methods
• Possess competence with a wide range of hand tools, pneumatic hand tools, a rivet machine, an electric stapler, a drill press, a heat staking machine, wire strippers, and more.
• Several methods, such as English-language verbal and written directions, lists of necessary materials, and flowcharts of the construction procedure, may be used to complete the task.
• High school graduation or GED and related work experience are typically required to qualify for jobs in this field.
