Job Description

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and paying all debtors in a timely, accurate, and efficient way. Compile and manage accounts payable records, in addition to providing clerical and administrative support as required. We want an objective Accounts Payable Clerk with a firm grasp of basic accounting and accounts payable principles, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. You must be extremely organized and attentive to detail, with the ability to operate well both individually and in a team setting. In addition, you must have outstanding verbal and writing communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to perform well in a fast-paced atmosphere when under pressure.

  • Print every report related to payments due and save a copy of every file.
  • Each invoice and outgoing payment made by their company must be reviewed and processed.
  • Enter into the system all of the bills that are due to be paid from accounts payable.
  • Accruals for recurrent monthly payments should be worked out with corporate and divisional controllers.
  • Perform routine tasks accurately, on time, and in compliance with company policy.
  • The support of the receptionist and other general administrative tasks as needed.
  • Assist in ensuring that all departmental operations and processes comply with accounting best practices and internal controls.
  • Examine the accounts of vendors and negotiate longer terms with them when money is limited.
  • In the absence of the department head, serves as a liaison with vendors and serves as the second point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • To guarantee that orders and invoices are correctly totaled, make sure that all items are received and paid for quickly and accurately.


  • An established track record of successfully calculating, posting and managing financial data and records.
  • The capacity to function well in the area of office management.
  • Work ethic and willingness to learn new tasks are two other important qualities that must be present in a new hire.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of juggling several tasks.
  • The ability to communicate well with persons from technical and financial backgrounds is a plus.
