The accounting department is overseen by the accounting manager. This position also acts as a consultant for the organization’s management, providing them with budgetary information and helping them develop a financial plan that supports the company’s objectives. This job performs supervisory duties in line with the organization’s rules and relevant legislation and directly oversees personnel. In addition to interviewing, employing, coaching, and training staff members, other duties include organizing, allocating, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and punishing staff members, and responding to complaints and resolving issues.

Qualifications:

• Find answers to accounting and financial challenges by conducting research and evaluating data.
• Assist the firm with specific initiatives, such as technology deployments and examining the impact of accounting standard changes on financial reporting.
• Analyze current procedures and provide recommendations for modifications to increase departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
• Advice on operational efficiency, financial policies and company strategy should be provided to the regional controller in this capacity.
• Improve accounting practices by providing ongoing support to the controller, finance department, and members of the business operations team.
• Manage the group’s financial and administrative activities, including processing of vendor contracts and agreements, purchases, income, invoices, payables, and expenses.
• Work with finance and business operations to ensure that transactions are properly reported and reconciled.
• Improve the billing and collection process by working with the customer support team, the media channel operators, and other external media partners.
• Examines financial data, transfers it to the accounting system, acquires supplementary data, and generates reports in order to provide accounting support for audits and acquisitions.
• Participate in the organization’s purpose by producing reports and analyses relating to finance.

Skills:

• To be successful, you’ll need to be skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. The ability to work with data warehouses, MS Access, HFM, and other related programs is a huge asset.
• A minimum of four years of accounting experience is required for this job, with a preference for investment accounting expertise being given.
• Perform, comprehend, and express in-depth information analysis and assessment, and have a strong track record of teamwork.
• Knowledge of applicable laws, rules, and regulations as well as best practices for auditing.
• To be able to manage accounting operations being transferred in, to examine and improve processes and procedures, and to train and improve the accounting team’s performance.
