As an accounting intern, you will get practical experience that will help you become ready for a career in accounting and learn about the elements of balance sheets, general ledgers, and related operations. To learn about each person’s duties, you will work as a staff accountant, senior accountant, and manager or director’s assistant.

Qualifications:

• Building relationships with our leadership team and other employees outside of accounting, as well as having access to management.
• Prepare account reconciliation schedules and diary entries. Involved in the period end closure procedure, assist in the explanation of fluctuation and variation.
• Assist in generating a bundle of management reports for periodic financial assessment. Assist supervisors with diverse projects and other tasks as given, Provide assistance for audit requests
• Ensure that all outstanding issues are forwarded to the appropriate management levels, and follow-up as needed.
• Prepare support schedules, checking for correctness and finding and locating missing data.
• Bringing suggestions and viewpoints to help our culture of continual improvement.
• Other work obligations may include filing, running reports, and other responsibilities.
• Experimenting in a corporate accounting department and learning about the many roles and responsibilities that make it up.
• It helps out accountants when they require help with typical month end and year-end accounting tasks. Account reconciliations, journal entries, control testing, research initiatives, and the submission of numerous tax forms and census reports can all fall under this category.
• Keep all communications, including phone calls and personal conversations, completely private.

Skills:

• Complete assignments on time and with minimum supervision, and be willing to work irregular hours as needed to meet deadlines.
• Have just earned an undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting, finance, or business, or are currently pursuing one of these degrees.
• Demands the mathematical ability that one would learn from a standard collegiate accounting or business program.
• High performance orientation, capacity to work effectively under pressure, ability to organize work, meet deadlines, and flexibility
• A self-starter has to be optimistic and have a strong drive for achievement.
